Achieving the highest quality welding in the world. Introducing Furukawa Electric's fiber laser.
World-class beam quality achieved with spatula-less, zero-gap, and high-quality welding. High-value-added welding is possible with arbitrary beam mode control technology.
1: World-class beam quality The fundamental single-mode fiber laser achieves the world's smallest core diameter (14 µm) and possesses the highest level of beam quality. Additionally, the multi-mode fiber laser maintains class-leading quality without significantly degrading the single-mode beam quality, thanks to its unique beam coupling technology. This high beam quality enables equivalent processing performance at lower optical output compared to conventional lasers. 2: High resistance to reflected light When processing highly reflective materials like copper, strong reflected light can return into the fiber, potentially leading to the failure of the oscillator. Our unique measures against reflected light have been experimentally confirmed to prevent damage to the oscillator even under vertical incidence. 3: Flexible beam shaping technology using an optical head with beam mode control function The greatest feature of the beam mode control technology is the freedom of mode design. It allows for the modification of the beam mode into any desired shape, achieving optimal patterns and intensity distributions for the processing material. 4: Sputtering suppression achieved through beam mode control Even under conditions where sputtering typically occurs, it is possible to reduce sputtering by using beam mode control technology.
